Book Donation event at Machhem Sararam Primary School
On 21st October 2023, GC Life organized a “Book Donation” event at Machhem Sararam Primary School in Kandal Province. The event was attended by village and commune authorities, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, teachers, students, parents, and GC Life management.
GC Life donated a total of 1,735 books, of which 1,235 were provided from 170 donors and another 500 books were from GC Life. The books will be placed in the school library and some have been distributed to the students as well. In addition, GC Life donated 2 million riels to the school to purchase needed items and materials for the library.
During the event, GC Life also held a “Reading Competition” with the school’s students to encourage young students to enjoy reading and to participate in activities. It was a really fun time to see the excitement and interest from the students and we hope we have enriched the lives of the local community through this event!
